Annapurna Base-camp trek (ABC), also known as the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek , offers trekkers an unforgettable experience with some of Nepal’s most iconic peaks, including Annapurna I, Annapurna II, and Machapuchare. The trek starts with a journey through lush rhododendron forests and bamboo groves, guiding you through traditional villages before reaching the stunning Annapurna Sanctuary. Surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks, this trek presents a perfect opportunity to immerse in Nepal’s natural beauty and vibrant Sherpa culture. Suitable for all experience levels, this trek provides the ideal adventure to explore the awe-inspiring Annapurna region.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu (1,400m)
Arrive in Kathmandu, where you’ll be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. You’ll have time to rest or explore the city on your own, with its vibrant atmosphere, bustling markets, and rich history.

Day 02: Half-Day Sightseeing and Briefing
Begin with a guided tour of Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites, such as Swayambhunath (the Monkey Temple) and Boudhanath Stupa. After lunch, meet your guide for a detailed trek briefing, covering essential information like route details, safety protocols, and gear preparation.

Day 03: Drive/Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara
Travel to Pokhara, either by road, which offers scenic views of terraced hills and rivers, or by a short, scenic flight. On arrival, check into your hotel in Lakeside, Pokhara’s popular hub with a stunning view of Phewa Lake and the Annapurna range in the background.

Day 04: Drive to Naya Pul and Trek to Ulleri (1,960m)
Drive to Naya Pul to start the trek. The route follows a gentle path through charming villages, farmlands, and lush forests. You’ll pass the suspension bridge at Tikhedhunga before a steep climb to reach Ulleri, where you can rest in a small, welcoming village setting.

Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani (2,860m)
Trek through beautiful rhododendron and oak forests, with occasional mountain views along the way. Ghorepani, a scenic village surrounded by mountains, is known for its panoramic views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Prepare for the sunrise trek to Poon Hill tomorrow.

Day 06: Poon Hill (3,210m) and Trek to Tadapani (2,630m)
Rise early for the short but steep hike to Poon Hill. The sunrise offers spectacular views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machapuchare (Fishtail), and other peaks. Descend back to Ghorepani, then trek through lush forests to reach Tadapani, a small village nestled in the mountains.

Day 07: Trek to Sinuwa (2,360m)
Begin with a descent through rhododendron and oak forests, then cross a few streams and bridges before ascending gradually to reach Sinuwa, a scenic stop with views of the surrounding peaks.

Day 08: Trek to Deurali (3,230m)
Trek through bamboo and oak forests, past waterfalls, and enjoy views of the changing landscape as you ascend. You’ll pass Hinku Cave, a notable landmark, before reaching Deurali, which offers a more rugged mountain atmosphere.

Day 09: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m)
Start early for the trek to Annapurna Base Camp, also known as ABC. You’ll pass Machapuchare Base Camp (MBC) along the way, with striking views of the Annapurna Sanctuary. At ABC, enjoy the breathtaking close-up views of Annapurna’s South Face and other peaks surrounding the camp.

Day 10: Sunrise at Annapurna South Face, Return to Bamboo
Watch a spectacular sunrise over Annapurna’s South Face before retracing your steps down the valley to Bamboo. This descent allows for further acclimatization as you drop to a lower altitude, surrounded by dense forests.

Day 11: Trek to Jhinu Danda (1,780m)
Continue down to Jhinu Danda, where you can soak in natural hot springs by the river—a perfect way to relax and soothe sore muscles after days of trekking.

Day 12: Trek to Naya Pul (1,070m) and Drive to Pokhara
Conclude the trek with a descent to Naya Pul. From there, drive back to Pokhara, where you can unwind by Phewa Lake, explore local shops, or enjoy a relaxing dinner by the lake.

Day 13: Onward Journey to Kathmandu
Return to Kathmandu either by road or flight, with time to explore, shop, or relax in the city. Consider visiting Thamel for souvenirs or traditional handicrafts.

Day 14: International Departure
Bid farewell to Nepal as you depart from Kathmandu with unforgettable memories of the Annapurna trek, its beautiful landscapes, and warm encounters with the local people.
