Trip Overview

Manang to Upper Mustang via the Teri La connects two restricted and remote trekking regions. Mustang Teri La pass trek is an ideal trip to explore untouched Tibetan culture in isolated villages of Nepal.
Linking Mustang and the Nar Phu Valley via the Teri La Pass is an ultimate trekking adventure passing through the restricted area of Upper Mustang and the Nar Phu Valley, which requires special permission. The trail crosses the Teri La Pass, 5,577m in unparalleled landscape of colorful canyons with high walls of red rocks, all distinctly eroded geological structures which sets Mustang apart from other regions. This trek is suitable for experience trekkers with technical knowledge as to how to use basic climbing equipment and with the appropriate skills. There will be opportunities to explore the sky caves and ancient monasteries, of Lo Manthang and witness the untouched Tibetan culture.

Day 03: Drive to Koto 2600m
Day 04: As a lot of height has been gained, albeit not through trekking it’s a rest day and time to acclimatise
Day 05: Trek to Meta 3560m
Day 06: Trek to Phu 4050m
Day 07: Trek to Gompa 3500m
Day 08: Trek to Naar Village 4110m
Day 09: Naar acclimatisation day
Day 10: Trek to Dharmasala 4200m
Day 11: Trek to Lapsekhola camp 4500m
Day 12: Trek to High camp 4900m
Day 13: Cross the Teri La 5595m and descend to Pasphu Khola camp 4900m
Day 14: Trek to Yak Pa 4300m
Day 15: Trek to Tangge 3300m
Day 16: Trek to Yara village 3600m
Day 17: Trek Lo Monthang 3820m
Day 18: Explore Lo Monthang
Day 19: Drive from Lo Mantang to Jomsom
Day 20: Fly Jomsom to Pokhara
Day 21: Drive or fly to Kathmandu.
Day 22: Rest day shopping. Hotel B & B Farewell dinner
Day 23: International departure
